What metal do you use?

All earring hooks are 925 Sterling Silver. To keep your earrings looking their best, simply clean the sterling silver hooks with a jewelry polishing cloth after each use. All of the charms used are made of a lead free zinc metal alloy. When not wearing, keep jewelry in a small air tight plastic bag to protect the sterling silver hooks and alloy charms from excess moisture.

 

Are they real petals?

Yes! Each pair of ellesart earrings are made with real Bougainvillea petals locally picked from the island of Key West, Florida (most are grown in our own backyard!). Every pair of earrings are handmade and made to order. Colors, shapes and sizes will vary. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or special requests before placing your order. 

 

Are the petals durable?

Yes. The petals are all carefully laminated. This way they are completely sealed in a thin, durable plastic. This process is done once the petals are pressed and dried. Each petal is cut by hand to ensure that all of the edges are waterproof and can be easily cleaned with water or polishing with a microfiber cloth.

 

Will the color fade?

No artificial dyes or preservatives are used in our jewelry. While the petals are completely dried and the color is set, slight fading is natural over long periods of time.

 

Do you only make earrings?

No! We also offer matching necklaces. These necklaces include one bougainvillea petal, one Sterling Silver Plated pendant bail, and one 22" 925 Sterling Silver snake chain. There are no charms included with the necklace. We are currently working on adding them to our website. If you are interested in purchasing a necklace please let us know and we would be more then happy to send photos your way.

 

Again, size WILL vary. We try our best to pair the appropriate size charm with the appropriate size petal. If you prefer a certain size petal please let us know and we will do our best to create your earrings just the way you would like them.

How much is shipping?

We offer Free Shipping on all orders within the United States, via USPS. Please allow 7-10 business days for shipping. For expedited orders please contact us to discuss carrier and your shipping fees.

 

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 calendar days of purchase date. To be eligible for a return, your item/s must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item/s must be in the original packaging and have the receipt or proof of purchase.

 

What is your refund policy?

Once we receive your returned item/s, you will be notified of its arrival. Within 24 hours we will inspect the merchandise and send you a second notification with the status of your refund. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card or initial method of payment. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
